Drug Court Punjab renders an early Acquittal for Our Clients under 265-K
We are proud to share that the Drugs Court, Bahawalpur was pleased to allow our application seeking early acquittal under Section 265-K in a drugs case, thereby securing a favorable outcome for our clients, a leading pharmaceutical company and its Management.
The Court was pleased to note that there were stark irregularities and malfunctioning in the process as the analyst report of the drugs was submitted after a delay of 82 days and was not conclusive, thereby, violating mandatory provisions of law.
The Court appreciated our arguments while deliberating that the Drug in question is used to induce labour in pregnant women and is of sensitive nature, therefore, certain storage guidelines are prescribed regarding such which were violated by the Analyst. The Court stated that the same batch was supplied to three other leading hospitals who confirmed the products quality, therefore, the accused would be at a disadvantage and injustice if kept at a prolong trail.
