Biography

Having a rich experience as an in-house counsel and a legal practitioner. vast experience in corporate, commercial, banking, Service, Labor and regulatory laws, external agencies Police, FIA, NAB drafting and vetting of legal documents.

Started career with a very well-known Law Firm Jamil & Jamil which was headed by a Former Law Minister Barrister Shahida Jamil and then worked with another Law Firm headed by Barrister Agha Faisal, he is now a sitting Judge of Sindh High Court, then, moved to United Bank Limited as a in house counsel, where worked in Legal Division and HR on different assignments.

Later on, had started again practice in the same law firm (Agha Faisal- Barrister at Law) and simultaneously working in Transparency International, Pakistan.

Have got an opportunity to work in NIB Bank Ltd and Faysal Bank Ltd as a full time Legal Advisor. After resign from Faysal Bank, again I had started my legal practice and established my own law Firm. During practice I got a chance to work four hours daily on contract basis for half day in First Women Bank. I was looking after all in- house and external issues regarding vetting of loan documents, service matters, FIA and NAB enquiries, commercial contracts, Regulatory compliance and legal opinion on day to day financial and HR affairs in Bank.

Also appointed as a retainer advocate of Karachi Port Trust and appeared in several cases on behalf of KPT with hundred percent positive results. From 2013 worked with National Bank of Pakistan at various positions, lastly, Head of litigation- Senior Vice President Legal Division.

During more than seven years of my services in National Bank, have got opportunities to work in Human Resources and Legal Division and first time in the history of NBP a woman had posted in Industrial Relations Wing which was leading herself and worked around a year and was posted in Assets Recovery Group and worked around a year.
